Finding the Perfect Website Content Writer

Well, there's no two ways around it.  If you want to start making real money online, you're going to need a very good website content writer at your side.

That raises a question that's been befuddling online entrepreneurs, business and Internet marketers for years...  How do you find the right person for the job.

Look, there are  a million and one (if not more) people out there willing to write content for you.  It's not hard to find someone.  Unfortunately, approximately 99% of them share one very important thing in common:  They stink!

They charge too much.  They hand over lousy work.  They don't "get" you or your business model.  They miss deadlines.  They write as if English is their fourth language.  They don't really give a hoot about whether you make one red cent from the content you buy.  They're hard to get in touch with.  They seem to have emergencies that prevent them from getting things done over and over and over again.

If you've been outsourcing content for more than twenty minutes, you can relate to all of that and many more reasons why most of the people you can hire to write your content aren't worth the effort.

And when you do find someone good, you can bet your bottom dollar that they're not always available and that there's no way they can churn out material in the volume (or at the speed) you need.

So, how do you find the right writer?  If you're in search of the perfect website content writer, you should do a few things.

First, forget the bid boards.  What a disaster area!  Most of the people on those freelance job boards don't read your project description.  They're just throwing Jell-O at the wall and hoping something sticks.  Plus, most of them aren't very talented.  If they were, they wouldn't be bidding against crazy Romanian teenagers who are willing to "perfectly in English for to write this to you now" at rates of a 1/4 cent per word.  Feel free to sort through twenty million lousy bids if that appeals to you, but the boards aren't the best place to find someone.

Second, don't just randomly snag the first person who has a price tag that meets your budget.  Do a little back and forth.  Feel one another out.  Get an idea of what they can and can't do.  Ask for samples.  Ask for references.  If you aren't getting good answers to tough questions, walk the other way.  The best website content writers don't mind this process.  They understand that you don't want to be burned (again).

Finally, prepare to spend a little money.  No, you don't need to spend a fortune.  You can find top-tier talent that won't break the bank.  However, you need to give up on that fantasy of finding truly spectacular writers that will produce 50 breathtaking articles for a ten dollar bill.  The only way you're going to make money is if you're using good content.  Finding a good website content writer enables you to make an investment in material that will pay for itself--many times over.

The good writers are out there.  You just need to find them.  That isn't always easy, but who said business life on the 'Net was gonna be all tropical drinks and naps in a hammock, right?

Good luck!
